Hotspot Shield is a software application developed by Anchor Free, Inc. that allows users to surf the Internet privately by creating a virtual private network so the user can gain secure access to all internet content, while staying in control over their personal privacy. The program is also used for cloud malware protection especially by travelers and expats that want to save data or access their home content while roaming abroad. It is used by business travelers and students to protect their online activities in Wi-Fi hotspots. It is also used by people in regions that are subject to Internet censorship, giving users access to the world’s information.

How to crack Hotspot Shield

Step i)

Goto the directory:

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

A folder will appear with some files in it. Search for the file named hosts.

Step ii)

Open the file with Notepad and replace the text in that file with the one given in the link below.

Step iii)

Now save the file. For windows xp user the file is saved without error. But for Windows 7 user there is some security problem. The security will not allow you to save this file. So here is little trick to bypass the security.

Just follow the steps

1. Goto Properties of the file named hosts by right click on it.
2. Now goto Security tab and click on Edit.
3. Now select Users and check the box with caption Full Control
4. Then edit the hosts file and now you can save it.

NOTE !!

Don't update the software. if u try to update you are lost.
